Black Belt Theatre is back with their 3rd release, "Power Petting", and it picks right up where "Superbitch" left off. Another collection of ripping, guitar-heavy jams that will have you singing along on the first listen. This is perhaps their most finely-crafted record to date. Each song different from the last, but able to stand on their own. The band may have leaned even harder on their influences than on their previous releases, but yet have further defined their own sound. Tons of harmonies. Hummable riffs. Memorable choruses. There's even some horns. This is the work of band with a clear vision, firing on all cylinders.
